Job description

SAIC has an opportunity for a System Administration Engineer. This position will work hand-in-hand with the customer team as well as IT engineering groups. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Deploy and manage Active Directory Domain Services.* Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for operating systems, workstations, and servers.* Monitor and troubleshoot Windows Server environments: Coordinate & perform software installations/upgrades and layered software packages.* Schedule installations/upgrades & maintain them IAW established IT policies & procedures. Monitor/refine systems for optimum performance.* Manage and Secure windows servers high availability & workloads. Evaluate, implement, and manage software/hardware solutions.* Manage virtual machines and containers.* Migrate servers and workloads when applicable.* Manage and Implement disaster recovery: Develop/implement a schedule of system backups & database archive operations.* Manage storage and file services: Plan and implement the modernization of servers. Develop, implement, and promote SOPs and schedules.* Coordinate with IT Security Admin to conduct hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configuration guidelines.* Develop and implement new standards, policies and procedures. Maintain optimal nesting with IT Security, System Integration, and Network Engineer schedules to facilitate onboarding of networking systems.* Coordinate with IT Security Admin to implement protective/corrective measures and maintain compliance with IS security procedures.* Implement and manage networking infrastructure.* Provide support with integration testing and facilitate the remediation process to implement technical solutions necessary to address vulnerabilities via ACAS security scans.Required Skills/Qualifications:* Must be US Citizen* Must possess active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph* Bachelors and 5 years or more related experience; Masters and 3 years experience; PHD and 0 related experience *Significant experience may be considered in lieu of education* Annotated years of experience with active IAM II or IAM III level certification may be considered in lieu of education* 5-10 years of related experience in data security administration* Must be proficient in Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, Microsoft Defender for Identity Management* Must possess IAM I, such as the Security certification, to start in accordance with DOD 8570.1M. Must obtain IAM II or III certification within 6 months (This position is defined as in 8570.1M chapter 4, pg. 35)* Must be available/able to travel up to 10%Desired:* CISSP certification or equivalent (CAP, GSLC, CISM)* Experience using security tools such as EVSS, ACAS, HBSS, Tenable, RedSeal, Splunk, and EMET* System Integration Experience* Network engineering experience* System design and development experience
