Salesforce Release Manager

Job description

We have an Exciting 100% remote contract-hire opportunity for our enterprise client! Excellent benefits! EST candidates preferred but CST will be considered!

We're seeking a Salesforce Release Manager to support the Training Services application, a fusion of multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, etc.) and integrations delivering training (e.g., First Aid, CPR, and AED) and products.

The Salesforce team utilizes lower sandbox environments for sprint cycles and project needs, encompassing Development, Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Staging, and Training. This role oversees bi-weekly releases across Salesforce platforms for Training Services and project-specific releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure documented software parameters comply with standard hardware configurations and are logistically sustainable.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages to enhance software modeling and development.
  • Design and execute build procedures supporting software product development and deployment.
  • Track and manage Change Requests, Impact Assessments, Incident Reports, and Software Change Notices continuously.
  • Establish software configuration standards within the Training Services Salesforce team.
  • Lead projects, providing training, guidance, and technical expertise to staff.
The Salesforce Release Manager will also:
  • Develop and maintain software configuration management tools (e.g., Flosum) for configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of internally developed and externally purchased software products within our Salesforce application.
  • Manage all Salesforce sandboxes and refresh schedules.
  • Resolve code conflicts amongst environments and validate release packages before implementation.
  • Lead release management on projects and provide training and guidance to staff.
Scope:
  • Individual contributor working under limited supervision.
  • pply subject matter knowledge to understand specific needs or requirements and apply skills/knowledge accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination required.
  • Hands-on daily experience with Release Management, DevOps, or DevSecOps, and using release tools like Flosum, Gearset, or Copado required.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification - nice to have.
  • Flosum Certified Professional or Flosum Certified Expert - nice to have.
Skills & Abilities:
  • bility to collaborate within a team.
  • Willingness to be 24-hour on-call for post-release support.
  • Capacity to communicate highly technical information effectively to various audiences.
  • vailability to support 10 PM (Eastern) releases every other Thursday night.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in juggling all Salesforce environments within Training Services.
