Reporting to the Director of Distribution, the Warehouse Material Manager is responsible to plan, organize and direct the organizations purchasing receiving, inventory management, distribution and storage of equipment and supplies at all PQ locations. Contributes to the development of policies for cost effective methods in the procurement, storage and distribution of supplies and works in tangent with supply chain at the health system. Develops and maintains systematic processes for ordering and maintaining adequate inventory levels. Directly supervises buyers, assistant buyers and equipment coordinator.

Education:

* BA/BS in business or health administration, required.

Knowledge:

* Inventory management policies and procurement procedures

* Knowledge of all aspects of the home care, durable medical equipment, Respiratory Therapy Infusion Therapy

* Knowledge of regulations that govern home care and how they relate to durable medical equipment

* Knowledge of computer systems, including general business software such as word processing and spreadsheet analysis

Skills:

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Ability to interact with others, to work independently or in a group, to delegate and follow up

* Ability to identify, address and resolve problematic areas and achieve productive solutions

* Ability to negotiate pricing with vendors

* Ability to establish appropriate pricing for the best interest of the organization

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

* Financial skills to plan and manage budgets

Work Experience:

* Minimum five years office/retail setting/purchasing, supervision experience preferred

* Three to five years supervisory experience in purchasing and warehouse/inventory management.

* Experience with Microsoft Office suite required
