Title: Systems Engineer Clearance: Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite) Salary: $130K - $140K
About this role:
Rackner is seeking a Systems Engineers that will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of organizations
Will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of systems to support business operations
We are seeking professionals with:
5+ years; Systems engineering or a related role
IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization
System design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Security standards and practices, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS
What will make you successful:
System Design and Implementation: Design and implement IT systems and solutions, ensuring they meet the organization's needs and align with industry best practices. This includes hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms. Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Security Compliance: Ensure systems and infrastructure comply with security standards, policies, and regulations. Implement security controls, conduct risk assessments, and respond to security incidents.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security posture.
Project Management: Lead or contribute to IT projects, from planning and design to implementation and evaluation. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and other teams to ensure project success.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in systems engineering. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
