Grace is seeking a Segment Marketing Manager for DHT and Renewables to join our Advanced Refining Technologies joint venture team! This role reports to the Vice President, Marketing located at Columbia, Maryland.

Summary:

The Distillate Hydrotreating (DHT) and Renewables Marketing Manager is responsible for driving global sales and profitability growth of the Distillate Hydrotreating and Renewables product lines, driving the short and long-term segment strategies, evaluation of segment/customer trends, market analysis, defining customer needs, product and service strategy, the development of detailed market requirements for defining future products and their commercial launch into the marketplace, creation of market collateral, and creating alignment with the commercial team to drive top line growth. The DHT/ Renewables Marketing Manager will drive sales through the regional commercial organizations and be accountable for monthly segment sales and margin metrics.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for the development of the Distillate Hydrotreating and Renewables strategic marketing plans including objectives and strategy for targeted markets, positioning and plans across the business globally in support of defined business and overall brand objectives. Accountable for the commercial success of the segments.

As a key member of the Marketing Team, actively engage in all marketing activities, including business strategy development and execution, growth plan development, communications, marketing team meetings, and special projects.

Collaborate with Commercial and R&D teams to evaluate the Distillate Hydrotreating and Renewables product segments and determine gaps in the current comprehension of value brought to the market and implement value selling strategies. Develop strategies and tactics to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Monitor and analyze the market to understand the market size, environment, needs, trends, competitive environment, and opportunities for products within the segments to support short and long-term growth. Provide consultation and advise based on market intelligence.

Define and evaluate the Distillate Hydrotreating and Renewables product portfolio, branding and positioning in accordance with the customer/market needs and technology developments.

Sponsor, champion and manage product development and cost reduction programs to optimize material profitability, working closely with operations, R&D, quality, and supply chain.

Define pricing strategies for the segments and approve pricing/margin guidelines consistent with the segment strategy, value proposition and growth and profitability targets. Develop processes to ensure pricing proposals are aligned, capture data and make key pricing data available for analysis.

Develop a wide and in-depth knowledge of customer requirements. Develop relationships with key customers and develop customer segmentation and value propositions aligned with the strategy for the Distillate Hydrotreating and Renewables segments and accounts.

Define strategic sales revenue and profitability targets and ensure implementation of approved marketing, product, and raw material strategies with Sales, Technical Service, R&D, and Supply Chain functions.

Lead initiatives to identify, develop and launch new product developments and introductions and ensure developments are aligned with the ART marketing strategy, priorities and growth targets as well as the market and customer needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills in leading and managing a multi-functional team comprised of members from different cultural backgrounds and from different parent companies

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance work environment.

Business acumen and strong analytical skills

****Required Experience****

4-year University degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Chemical Engineering or related degree required. M.B.A. or Advanced Marketing degree desirable.

At least 15 years of experience in marketing, product line or segment management, business development, product management or technical role

****Preferred Qualifications****

Experience in a manufacturing company in refining or specialty chemicals industries

Refining industry knowledge, particularly understanding of petroleum refining decision-making processes, refinery economics & planning

Experience with business development and developing sustainability strategies for energy transformation of our refining customers

Research, brainstorm and propose the introduction of digital products, services and/or e-business platforms. Monitor the organizations digital options across its target markets to ensure consistency and alignment with the organizations digital strategy.
