Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership in the development and execution of scientific strategy, aligning with the company's mission and goals. Collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive innovation and growth initiatives.

  2. Diagnostic Test Development: Lead the research and development efforts for diagnostic tests tailored to drug therapies, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Ensure the timely and successful development of accurate and clinically relevant diagnostic tools.

  3. Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the scientific team, comprising molecular biologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to drive breakthrough discoveries and advancements.

  4. Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and other healthcare organizations. Collaborate closely with existing pharmaceutical partners to identify opportunities for synergistic growth and development.

  5. Product Development: Oversee the development and optimization of products targeting specific patient populations, with a focus on rare diseases. Ensure that products are clinically meaningful and address unmet needs in the healthcare landscape.

  6. Thought Leadership: Attend conferences, industry events, and through publications, showcasing the company's scientific expertise and thought leadership in diagnostic test development and drug therapies.

Qualifications:

  1. PhD or MD with significant experience in molecular biology, diagnostic test development, or related field.

  2. Proven track record of leadership in a scientific or healthcare organization, preferably within the diagnostic or pharmaceutical industry.

  3. Experience in leading research and development efforts for diagnostic tests tailored to drug therapies.

  4. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  5. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and strategic initiatives, with a forward-thinking mindset.

  6. Experience in promoting products and thought leadership through conferences and publications.

  7. Openness to travel and ability to direct data analysis for strategic decision-making.
