Aon Is Looking for A Health & Benefits Consulting Vice President/ Account ExecutiveAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective Employee Benefit solutions as part of our Health & Benefits business group within Aon in our Capital area offices (Maryland, Virginia and DC). Your Impact as a Health Solutions VP / Account ExecutiveThe Health & Benefits Vice President will be a key contributor and leader for mid and large market clients. The role involves the management of ongoing Health and Benefits work for assigned clients including the placement of insurance and coordinating the assigned client team. This position will have frequent interactions with the client Human Resources, Benefits and Finance teams regarding the delivery of Benefits consulting services.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include developing employee benefits programs, leading sophisticated benefits consulting projects, frequent vendor interface, developing client reports, leading external meetings and internal resource coordination. Additionally, the Health and Benefits Vice President/Account Executive has responsibilities to grow the client relationship through excellent service and growing the types of services delivered to the clientResponsible for providing consulting services and guidance to mid & large market clientsResponsible for running the day to day work to serve the client needs, coordinate the client team, respond to client inquiriesPossess a fundamental understanding of the Health Solutions practice and participates as needed on task forces and special project teams.Specific areas of expertise needed for this position include benefit plan design, rate analysis, strategy, RFP development and response review, insurance carrier negotiations, stewardship report preparation, benchmark analysis, client financial analysis and reporting and carrier contract reviewsMust have excellent communication and presentation skills and work well with internal and external Aon client team members and be capable of working as a team member or independently based on the projectExhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutionsForm effective teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team membersLead all aspects of vendor negotiations and provide coaching to other team membersAct as strategic resource for consultantsExhibit thought leadership understand and be able to articulate ideas to clientsBe willing learn about other Aon solution lines and introduce to clients as appropriateWillingness to travel as neededYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:Twelve plus years Health and Benefits backgroundFive plus years of Benefits consulting/brokerage experienceClient facing experience at a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage or in the Health and Benefits disciplineComplex project management experienceBroad business knowledge/perspectiveTeam building skillsBusiness development experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsPreferred Experience:Government contracting experiencePublic sector experience is also a plusEducation:Bachelor s degree or equivalent years of industry experienceLife/Accident/Health insurance license (or ability to learn license after hire)We offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.
