Job Title: Senior Accountant/Cost Accountant
Location: Lewis Center
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000

Job Summary: Our client is looking to add an accounting clerk to the accounting team due to continued growth.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (Finance degree or MBA considered with relevant work experience)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial close process and financial reporting
• Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have Cost and Inventory Experience within a manufacturing company
• Full onsite work environment initially, with hybrid opportunities available after training

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process
• Assist in inventory count compilation and conduct recount audits; maintain accurate inventory subledger
• Execute month-end close activities, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries; conduct financial analysis
• Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reports
• Aid in the preparation of annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns, and issue forms 1099
• Provide support to CPA firm during audits and tax filings
• Document and update standard operating procedures
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by management
