As a Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for supporting global missions by building and delivering intelligence, analytics, and cyber solutions that enable users to advance national security. We have provided our customers with the tools needed to counter evolving global and cyber threats, and to improve wartime decision making.   • Work with a diverse team of principal, senior, and junior level contributors to provide development and production support for the customer.
  • Transition and modernize legacy tools and collapse like capabilities
  • Solicit, interpret, and draft requirements, advocate for development teams; plan and run realistic agile sprints; and established detailed schedules
  • Define mission use cases to expose mission workflows and product capabilities. Derive SCRUM activities from the creation of use cases.
  • Lead integrated product teams through the lifecycle planning, designing, and scheduling of mission thread requirements
  • Design, Develop, and Improve workflows from legacy systems into modern frameworks
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • May define data models to link existing applications in support of new data items; develop data mining and data ingest processes for new data; and support integration with middle-tier and back-end APIs.
  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
  • Perform system life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. A Bachelor s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a qualifying bachelor s degree.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience working with developers on web-based applications
  • Manage tasks across multiple applications and teams to ensure complete lifecycle planning, designing, and scheduling of mission thread requirements
  • Experience with Agile SCRUM methodologies and frameworks
  • Full Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) experience that includes fourteen (14) years or more of:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Modify the repository schema of an existing application to support new data items, develop data mining and data ingest processes for new data, and support integration with middle-tier and back-end APIs
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the compliance and integrity of the application
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$180,000 - $200,000
