Position Type: Part-Time (24 hours weekly)

Work Location: Annandale, Virginia

We have an opening for a part-time Occupational Therapist at the PHILLIPS ~ Annandale program for the '24-'25 School Year.

What the OT does:

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic occupational therapy services to students. Serve as a consultant to teachers and other staff regarding the development and implementation of occupational therapy strategies that support educational goals and objectives.

  1. Serves as a resource to teachers for materials and methods.
  2. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members and with parents
  3. Attends IEP meetings, CSTs and other meetings.
  4. Provides occupational therapy evaluation/screening.
  5. Discuss screening/evaluation results with jurisdictions (LEAs).
  6. Develops and implements an individualized therapeutic program (as part of the IEP) for each student receiving occupational therapy services on individual caseload.
  7. Provides individual/group/classroom occupational therapy.
  8. Provides services in a variety of on/off campus settings.
  9. Provides consultative occupational therapy to team members and parents.
  10. Monitors students' perceptual motor skills for follow up.
  11. Writes treatment notes for each occupational and therapy visit.
  12. Writes quarterly progress reports.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What the OT brings to the team:

Must hold valid DC, Maryland, and Virginia State License issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
