Smithbucklin's Sales Services Team specializes in national advertising, sponsorship and exhibit sales for associations. This is an exciting and challenging position for a high-energy, detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in digital media, print media and in person events. Join us in shaping the future of association management, where our values serve as the cornerstone of our success.What You Will DoManage a portfolio of Association clients that Smithbucklin sells exhibit, sponsorship, and advertising on behalf ofManage client databases and prospect for new sales leadsMaintain regular communication with advertisers, exhibitors, or sponsors regarding upcoming deadlines and ad material collectionExecute preflight processes and maintain detailed production reports for print and digital publicationsParticipate in client meetingsAttend client conferences and tradeshows on an as-needed basisComplete and update industry market analysis to assist with pricing strategies and new business developmentMonitor general site statistics for clients websites and digital products (e.g., eNewsletters, eblasts and webinars) using Google Analytics or similar softwarePartner with the sales team, association and production teams to improve campaign performance based on client goalMaintain and submit weekly reports out of SalesforceManage project timelines, such as webinar campaigns or custom content opportunitiesThis Role Might Be for You IfYou have an interest in new digital media and technologies, and are hungry to build your career in B2B sales or Client ServicesYou have a positive, upbeat attitude and a high degree of energyYou have a demonstrated willingness to take on new and challenging projectsYou possess an intense attention to detail and accuracyYou exhibit the ability to work autonomously and manage own projectsYou have the ability to communicate ideas effectivelyYou have the ability to travel up to 10%Basic QualificationsBachelor s degree from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience1-2 year of relevant professional experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience in publishing, advertising, tradeshows or similar industriesAd trafficking experience with a major commercial ad serving platform, such as Equativ, SmartAd, Broadstreet, AdButler, or Google Double ClickExperience with Salesforce is a plusExperience with design programs, such as Photoshop and InDesign is a plusExperience with HTML is a plusFamiliarity with Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standards and best practices is a plusSkill and experience using Microsoft ExcelProficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Where Do You Fit?Whether you are just beginning your career or are a mid- or senior-level professional, working at Smithbucklin will offer you countless opportunities to develop transferrable skills, acquire meaningful knowledge and gain rich experiences at an accelerated pace.
