Job Description

This position is for an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer in the Applied Cryptography team, who will assist senior members of the team to implement, support and provide services on Visa s global Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate solutions.

Some job duties and projects could include:

  • Provide Level 1 Support on user requests through emails and phone calls.
  • Administer the PKI certificate lifecycle for various applications and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal end users on PKI and certificate use cases.
  • Support certificate requests and vetting processes for the global certificates services.
  • Assist the PKI Team on implementing, maintaining, and supporting PKI systems and applications.
  • Assist the team on creating changes to the PKI infrastructure in accordance with standard procedures and change control policies and procedures.
  • Support requests as per pre-defined sets of procedure and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA), resolve problem tickets and assist other staff members as needed.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot PKI services for problem and failures, providing support and resolutions.
  • Support Data Encryption Deployments and Applied Cryptography.
  • Support the Key Management activities as a Key Custodian.
  • Maintain security and technical professional certifications.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years relevant work experience with either Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field, graduating February 2023 - August 2024
  • Must be willing to work on-call a few days each month


Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Cybersecurity domains.
  • Understanding or experience in PKI systems and services.
  • Understanding of protocols like TLS, TCP/IP, OCSP, SCEP, LDAP, ACME.
  • Have a global mindset and collaborate effectively within and across teams in different part of the global landscape.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills on all platforms and tools supported.
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $97,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
