JOB TITLE: Environmental Services Tech DEPARTMENT: EnvironmentalServices CATEGORY : Hourly/Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Environmental Services Director

GENERALPURPOSE:
To be part of an energetic team, devoted to delivering a uniqueand enjoyable customer service experience for our residents and visitors .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine preventativemaintenance, as directed by supervisor
Empties/collects trash throughout thecommunity
Strips, waxes, and buffs floors on ascheduled routine basis and as needed for unexpected occurrences
Responsible for proper hazard wastedisposal
Moves furniture, equipment, andassists residents with moving needs as assigned
Assists with grounds care asnecessary, such as weeding in the summer or snow removal in the winter
Removal and distribution of deliveriesfrom the loading and delivery areas to their proper locating in the building
Performs work orders as assigned,including minor building and equipment repairs
Serves on security detail whenassigned. Follows established protocol for responding to and documentingcommunity concerns
Maintain all tools, equipment andsupplies in proper condition
Recommends improvements and offerssuggestions as appropriate
Complete assignments timely,completely and accurately
Perform incidental housekeeping andmaintenance tasks as may arise during the course of regular duties, in order tomaintain a clean, safe, pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
Three to five years ofpainting/wallcovering experience in a residential setting
Electrical and plumbing experience
Proficiency in the English language enabling the employee toread, write, comprehend and communicate simple instructions, correspondence,memos, etc
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry outdetailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving few concretevariables in standardized situations
Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regardingthe community and on-call duties
