For more information, visit www.eastman.com .ResponsibilitiesEastman has an excellent opportunity to work at our Chestertown, Maryland manufacturing site as an entry level Material Handler. This is an important site to Eastman where we manufacture specialty plasticizers. The position reports to the Materials Handling Team Manager. Training will be provided to prepare the selected individual to perform work safely, such as safety training, tank entries for cleanings, spill cleanup, DOT training, CPR/First Aid, etc.Below are the key responsibilities required to successfully perform the job:Requires a Zero Incident Mindset and the willingness to operate safely and demonstrate safe behaviors at all timesOperate manufacturing equipment independently, without supervisionDevelop knowledge of the capacities, materials construction, products, vessels, tanks, and the available routes of product transfers from one tank to anotherProactively and accurately enter and manage inventory entries into SAP, and complete all required paperworkAbility to read and follow all proceduresLearn to sample and test samples with accuracyOperate in a team environment while assisting with daily operations, safety programs, etc.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldIndustrial, construction, or military experience preferredMust have valid driver's licenseMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, speak, and write EnglishEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredGeneral chemistry knowledge preferredEastman Chemical Company is an equal opportunity employer.
