Job description

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking Cybersecurity Engineers to work in Ft. Meade, MD. The successful candidate will be part of a highly professional, results-oriented company and will perform complex analyses, management information support and evaluation of financial and/or administrative requirements.

Position Requirements

Performs security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, and systems hardening. Conducts vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Exploits system and network vulnerabilities and misconfigurations for the purpose of gathering data from target or adversary automated information systems or networks and to enable operations and intelligence collection capabilities. Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems and networks. Develop security assessment plans for systems, including the objectives, scope, schedule, required documentation, possible risks, and other logistical items for security assessments; develops cloud service provider testing approach from security perspective. Provide PMO with written and oral recommendations, and document development support in reference to Cyber security concepts and requirement which sustain or improve the current and future overall DoDIN computing environment.

In addition to the above requirements Cybersecurity Engineers also:

Level II

  • Evaluates incident response procedures and capabilities.

Level III

  • Reviews and validates any security risks and framework gaps in security programs and implements necessary security measures to nullify the threats.
  • Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to systems and networks.
  • Evaluates incident response procedures and capabilities through Red Team exercises.

Position Qualifications:

Level I

Bachelor's Degree in requested academic field of study. Extensive experience in the required discipline can serve as substitution for Bachelor's Degree requirements. As Required: Professional Licensing or Certification in Area of Expertise or specific job requirements. These include industry and/or federal designations. Experience: 6+ Years in Federal, DoD Program Management and Strategic planning. Without Bachelor's Degree, 9+ Years in Federal, DoD Program Management Strategic planning with the required discipline.

Level II

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in the required discipline can serve as substitution for Bachelor's Degree requirements. Experience: 6+ Years in computer-related technology, networks, IT architecture, design, and security in IT; CIO; or CTO support. Without Bachelor s Degree, 8+ Years in computer-related technology, networks, IT architecture, design, and security in IT; CIO; or CTO support with the required DoD 8570.01 certification (e.g. Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, CND, SSCP).

Government executives utilize VISTA for information technology, management consulting, decision support systems and a broad portfolio of analytical services.

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, VISTA will consider only applicants with Secret security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
