Job description

Salary: $100,000 - 120,000/year

Project Manager with construction management experience.

The ideal candidate shall have a broad facility project and construction management background including: project coordination, planning, prioritization, and construction supervision.

The ideal candidate serves as an interface between the on-site government facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support contractor, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on matters related to customer requirements and execution.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the five phases of the project life cycle to include requirements development, programming, design, construction, and closeout.

Responsibilities
    • Act as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with, the U.S. government representatives at multiple levels.
    • Ensuring that the government receives valid cost proposals.
    • Managing a multi-project portfolio from conception to closeout.
    • Reviewing and commenting on design drawings.
    • Inspecting the work of the construction contractor during the construction phase to ensure accurate materials, placement, and proper installation.
Requirements
    • 5+ years supervising and managing construction in the field as a commercial/industrial Construction. Superintendent/Project Manager.
    • Demonstrated experience with project and construction estimating.
    • Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates.
    • Knowledge of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures.
    • Experience with all types of commercial/industrial construction to include tools, techniques, materials, operations and procedures.
    • Knowledgeable in many aspects of construction skill trade work including but not limited to concrete forming and placement, masonry erection, building envelopes, moisture intrusion, seismic regulations, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, structural, roofing, framing and architectural finishes.
    • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and MSOffice Suite.
    • Knowledge of federal, state and local building and safety codes.
