Job description

DescriptionThe Project Manager plans, manages and coordinates project activities to ensure key deliverables, budget and all other scope requirements are accomplished within the specified budget and time frame. In this role, you will work with the project resources and the project sponsor to define the scope, deliverables and measures of success. You will be responsible for working with the resource managers to ensure tasks are delivered on time and escalate issues accordingly. You will work with department representatives and senior hospital management through project governance to facilitate the successful completion of the project.Reviews project contract & plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements and assignment of resources to various phases of the projectEstablishes work plan and staffing for each project phase and assigns duties, responsibilities and scope of authorityConfers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities & scope of authorityManages activities of project staff to ensure project progress and deliver on schedule and within budgetCreates status reports and modifies schedule through scope changes as requiredEngage closely with key stakeholders in business, technology and project management team to provide transparency and provide reports on progress, risks and issues.Confers with project staff to provide technical advice and resolve issuesTracks actual project performance against planned project performance, analyzes variances, and works with project team to ensure all stakeholder needs are met while maintaining control of the projectPlan course of projects, including milestones, resources required, budget, cross-functional dependencies, use of technology and tools and document in project plan, following established project management methodology.Track course of project from meetings, conferring with business analysts and developers, and reporting. Update project plan as needed. Document changes to scope or functionalities with change requests, project plan, and other reporting as needed.Manages project activities with organizations or agencies outside the Health System. Monitors vendor performance on deliverables and takes corrective action as necessary.Ability to serve as main point of contact between internal project teams and external vendor during project implementation period.QualificationsMinimum EducationBachelor's Degree OR Relevant experience in project management beyond the minimum required work experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a 1-1 ratio i.e. one year of relevant work experience equals one year of required education. (Required)

Minimum Work Experience5-7 years of IT project management, product design, or related experience (Required)

Required Skills/KnowledgeDuties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment.Fully competent in own area of expertise.May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel.Functional AccountabilitiesCoordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.#LI-HybridPrimary Location
