The individual in this position will be responsible for successfully managing & delivering a variety of transportation and roadway design projects. As a Senior roadway engineer, you ll have the opportunity to work closely with our existing talented engineers on some of the largest projects locally and across the country. Often working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, your projects will primarily be focused on Seattle, WA, and across the West Coast for some of the area s biggest clients.Responsibilities include:Developing engineering concepts, and articulation to the teamDevelopment of design and design processes from concept through preliminary to final and Issued for Construction,Lead, manage and/or participate as the project manager or the lead discipline role on projects for various local Authorities and Municipal agenciesDesign and construction management background preferredWorking as part of a multi-discipline team to deliver project inputAbility to co-ordinate with different teams, both within Mott MacDonald and externallyLiaising with the client, attending progress meetings and producing reports on progressProviding expert engineering input into design; and evaluation of built environment proposalsLeading local business development opportunities and client relationship management

Qualifications:Degree in civil engineering10-15 years of progressive experience & responsibilities in the design, delivery, and coordination of transportation design projectsProfessional Engineering license required, Washington State PE preferredExperience with complete streets and knowledge of and experience with the Washington State Department of TransportationProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software is required; proficiency with MicroStation and InRoads is a plus.Experience working in a team atmosphere to deliver multidiscipline projectsSalary Range: $120,000-167,000 USDBenefits: 401k, medical, dental, and vision insurance, STD/LTD disability, holiday, PTO and sick time, parental leave and company-paid life insurance.Equality, diversity and inclusionWe put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of our business, seeking to promote fair employment procedures and practices to ensure equal opportunities for all.
