Security Operations Center (SOC) Project Manager

to join our team in the national capital region. You will manage the operations and performance of an enterprise-wide SOC. You will leverage your expertise to ensure the enterprise cybersecurity strategy is reviewed, updated, and adopted by all stakeholders.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assists the Program Manager with technical responsibilitiesPrimarily manages a

function/organization

through subordinate management. Manages the strategic and operational direction of the

function/organization.

Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate with and influence executive leadership.Empowered with the authority to make decisions, plan, manage tasks, and direct resourcesResponsible for ensuring that enterprise information security standards are followedCoordinating tasks to address potential, suspected, and confirmed IT security incidents and which countermeasures need to be deployed to defend, contain, and recover from an incidentProvide technical leadership to SOC analysts in executing on cybersecurity strategy and incident response planOrchestrate the SOC response to major security threatsProvide technical expertise evaluating threats and vulnerabilitiesPrepares cybersecurity reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and provide ongoing reportsMaintains incident response procedures by ensuring compliance to standards and policies; developing and conducting training programsFrequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.Basic Qualifications:A bachelor s degreeA minimum of (10) ten years of experience. An additional (4) four years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.A minimum of (3) three years of running a SOC, with a preference for experience running a combined on-premises/cloud SOC.A minimum of (5) five years of experience in cybersecurity incident response in one or more single environments with 50,000+ endpoints, with duties that include all five portions of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover).Individual must have demonstrated excellent conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.May require travel to various customer locationsSecurity Clearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizenMust hold a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the timeMust be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnelConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
