SMHS , including international clinical and research electives for students and residents, scholarships, medical and surgical missions, the Global Health Track and the Global Physician Scientist Program. This position will report directly to Associate Dean for International Medicine.

Responsibilities include:

Prepares and implements marketing plan for the programs; meets with potential applicants; creates and delivers presentations about the programs; promotes programs via a variety of networks including current and prospective participants, alumni, and the

Dean s Office; updates printed materials (i.e. brochures, outlines, website, fliers, etc.) and responds to all related inquiries.Reviews and processes applications, conducts interviews, and issues acceptance letters.Conducts safety and security lectures to prepare GW students for international travel.Works closely with GW Risk Management and other internal and external entities to mitigate international risks and ensure the safety of our students while abroad.Issues and collects onboarding forms; works closely with the Deans Office as well as Graduate Medical Education office ( GME ) to ensure compliance; prepares and conducts orientation, info sessions, registrations and course/rotation scheduling; disseminates pre-arrival paperwork; and manages all relevant logistics for arrival and departure including orientation.In coordination with GW Dean s Office and international entities, ensures proper scheduling of rotations, elective offerings, and locations for visiting international medical students and outgoing GW students. Communicates with partners regarding any changes in legal agreements, policies, or arising issues as needed.Manages all logistical aspects for the arrival of visiting international medical students, including hospital entry, library access, registration, internet use, relevant training, and required certification preparation for participants prior to and upon arrival.Monitors student participation in the Global Health Track, working closely with the track director and Office of Student Professional Enrichment; advises and counsels students to ensure policy adherence and completion of track activities.Monitors the performance of incoming medical students at clinical departments to maintain good performance and avoid any issues.Maintains excellent records and statistics; tracks outcomes of each participant, cohort, and the overall program; conducts regular surveys and assessments to evaluate the program; prepares annual progress reports for each participant and other reports as required.Manages the Global Health Track lecture series by exploring new topics relevant to the latest developments in global health; seeks out and recruits speakers with relevant experience.Manages all aspects of risk management for incoming and outgoing students, including monitoring of news for potential site-specific incidents and keeping in close contact with participants. Serves as the point of contact for all students and residents abroad, and incoming students at GW 24/7.Manage and provide support of all international medical and surgical missions carried out by

Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
