Job Summary

  • As a Territory Account Manager specializing in Ingredients Distribution, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within a designated geographic area. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and effectively promoting our ingredients products and services. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
Essential Functions / General Accountabilities
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth and expansion within the territory. Identify key target markets, industries, and accounts for penetration.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and promote additional products or services. Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and support.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory through prospecting, networking, and cold calling. Utilize market research and industry knowledge to identify potential clients and market segments.
  • Product Promotion: Educate clients on the features, benefits, and applications of our ingredients products. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions as needed to showcase the value proposition.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Track sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts accurately using CRM tools. Provide regular updates and reports to management on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and technical support to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients. Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. Prepare and review proposals, agreements, and other sales-related documents as necessary.
  • Industry Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and market trends related to ingredients distribution. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Chemistry, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the ingredients distribution or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of ingredients products, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory as needed.
