Description
Job Duties Summary: The successful candidate is responsible for the architecture, engineering and hands-on integration/implementation of Remote Digital Tower subsystems and associated graphics and networking components.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
Designs end-to-end architecture and solutions in tandem with local engineering and off-shore product development teams.
Creates hardware specifications (HPE servers, CISCO switches, NVIDIA graphics processors) and configuration requirements to specify to vendors.
Performs as a technical engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) by supporting the design of systems, hardware solutions, and network architectures that meet customer requirements.
Creates design and technical documentation for system certification and design reviews of digital tower systems and subsystems.
Performs local and on-site system configuration implementation tasks to include network and application configuration.
Monitors system performance and implements security measures, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Interfaces with other company departments for total project success (e.g., test engineering, field engineering, production).
Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong experience in integrating IT system technologies (servers, routers, networks, operating systems)
Strong experience in network configuration and troubleshooting to include experience with networking analysis tools (Wireshark, Netropy, Netstress, etc.)
Strong experience with Linux operating system
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical skills
Excellent technical writing skills
Experience in automation & deployment techniques (Puppet, Ansible)
Experience in scripting (Python, Shell, Perl, etc.)
System engineering experience in video processing, GPU, and networking and related technologies.
8-10 years' experience
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience with IT and/or graphics hardware and software.
Experience with bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA (preferred), TRAC, Redmine, BugTraq, etc.)
Special Notations or Conditions of Employment:
Must have a current United States Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
Up to 20% travel required
Travel to customer sites will be required for site surveys and system deployments
Occasional international travel may be required to receive equipment or technology training at company headquarters in Vienna, Austria
