Join our dynamic team at the Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity, where we manage and enhance the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated applications. Our responsibilities span Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, and more.

Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable and secure database solutions based on organizational requirements.Evaluate and recommend database technologies and tools to meet business goals and objectives.Develop and maintain data models to represent the organization's information architecture.Ensure data integrity, consistency, and normalization across databases.Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure optimal responsiveness and efficiency.Identify and address bottlenecks, database tuning, and optimization opportunities.Implement and enforce data security policies to safeguard sensitive information.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data management.Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate database systems with applications.Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on database-related issues.Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures for databases.Where appropriate, provide recommendations for improvements and alternative solutions as part of an analysis of alternatives (AOA), with the goal of improving the stability, reliability and availability of the EDW.Collaborate with team to generate technical documentation including development planning, technical architecture, software testing and deployment process.Participate in the development and execution of Change Management and Release Management Plans.As needed, make internal and systematic changes to technical aspects as part of change management processes.

Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related

scientific/technical

discipline, 10 years of additional relevant experience considered in lieu of Degree.Experience architecting enterprise wide database solutions.Prior experience in a federal data warehouse and understanding of government procedures and regulations is preferred.Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.SMust be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
