Agile Fleet, Inc. is hiring a Director of Software Development.

Position Summary

Serve as a software engineer, maintaining and developing software to support Agile Fleet s products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Participating in the transition of a legacy Classic ASP (VBScript) product to C# .NET MVC;Enhancing/supporting/testing/debugging several .NET products (e.g., API, mobile website, customer support portal, middleware);Writing and reviewing code and related technical and/or functional documentation;Responding to customer support requests which require engineering assistance;Contributing to the improvement of company policies and standards as they relate to software development;Participating in important architectural decisions;Driving innovation across the company by sharing personal experience and knowledge;Collaborating with department managers and senior management;Assisting in the implementation of automated testing.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

An appreciation of and willingness to embrace a company culture rooted in partnership, initiative, approachability, integrity, and flexibility;Expertise in C# .NET MVC;Expertise in MS SQL;Experience with REST APIs and mobile websites;Experience using Git source control system;Expertise in coding best practices and procedures, particularly in terms of building a secure application;Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;Excellent written and verbal communication.At least two years of experience in software development;Related degree(s) from accredited university or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-have Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

Experience with Telerik Kendo or similar frameworks;Experience transitioning a legacy product to .NET;Workable knowledge of and/or experience with Classic ASP (VBScript);Knowledge of and/or experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System);Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud;Experience implementing DevOps and related technologies and processes;Experience with various centralized authentication methods (e.g., SAML, OAuth, LDAP);Functional design experience.
