Digital Communications Specialist

Job description

BLH Technologies, Inc., an award-winning company specializing in public health, communications, technology, research, and management solutions for federal and commercial clients, seeks an experienced and highly qualified Digital Communications Specialist to support outreach and engagement programs, particularly social media.

Duties:
Support the development and implementation of social media strategies; this will include creating content, implementing social media strategies across platforms, and monitoring social media performance.
Collaborate with clients in the posting of content across social media platforms under supervision of the Senior Strategic Communications Director.
Manage social media metrics and measurement programs.
Support implementation of aspects of strategic communications plans, in addition to social media strategies, (e.g., op-eds and blog posts, stakeholder engagement).
Support the creation of multimedia products (e.g., videos, social graphics, infographics), working closely with the Senior Strategic Communications Director and the BLH Communications Team.
As appropriate, collaborate with vendors on digital marketing programs.
Support production of reports on strategic communications performance for sharing with clients; this will include drafting relevant report section(s), particularly but not only sections related to social media and digital marketing.

Requirements:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in marketing and/or communications.
Knowledge, understanding, and experience implementing various aspects of integrated communications and/or marketing, with a particular emphasis on social media and digital marketing.
Ability to create content (e.g., social media posts, reports) that clearly communicates complex concepts.
A master's degree in digital marketing or a related field (e.g., strategic communications, marketing, journalism, public relations). In lieu of a master's degree, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus at least 10 years of relevant experience.
