Job Description

Oracle Applications Functional Consultant responsible for the creation of an Accounting Treatment Manual for an Oracle E-Business Suite/Federal Financials customer. Oracle EBS experience in the federal government is required.

Responsibilities
  • Work with federal government customer and review existing Oracle EBS environment and related modules
  • Document business events that generate accounting transactions
  • Document recurring manual journal entries
  • Group transactions by significant business process
  • Document the USSGL debit/credit pairs for each transaction process
  • Document the federal accounting attributes that drive the USSGL debit/credit pairs for each transaction
  • Draft descriptions of each business process and related transactions
  • Produce all work products and deliverables with quality and on schedule
  • Develop and demonstrate functional and technical understanding of client's business processing in areas of assignment
  • Lead meetings with the client to review information captured in the Accounting Treatment Manual
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in Oracle Financials R12 and Oracle databases
  • Extensive experience with Oracle EBS in a federal environment
  • Strong knowledge of federal accounting practices
  • Ability to provide operational support for Oracle Federal Financial modules that include AP, AR, FA, FV, GL, PA, and PO
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Sub-Ledger Accounting (SLA) module within Oracle EBS
  • Ability to lead functional requirements gathering and process definition meetings
  • Ability to develop, update, and maintain all related documentation
  • Ability to prepare test scripts and test scenarios
  • Experience designing Oracle Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements / Extensions, and Workflows (RICEW) objects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have lawful Permanent Resident Alien (PRA) status, with at least three (3) or more years of United States residency.
Additional Information

Preferred skills:
  • Experience in the creation of an accounting treatment handbook or accounting treatment manual.
  • Experience in documenting the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) posting logic for accounting transactions.
