We are seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead our cafeteria's daily operations, from opening to closing, ensuring top-notch quality, service, and sanitation standards. As the Cafe Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining cost efficiency while exceeding quality expectations. Your responsibilities will include building and mentoring a dedicated team, conducting employee training and development, and spearheading special events and promotions to elevate the cafe experience. Located on the lower level of the prestigious US Capitol Visitor Center, the Capitol Cafe is a unique dining establishment that offers a taste of American history alongside exceptional cuisine. Serving Breakfast and Lunch Monday to Saturday. The Capitol Cafe delivers an unforgettable dining experience within the historic walls of the US Capitol. It's here that the journey through history truly begins. Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise the cafe team in alignment with organizational policies and laws.Take charge of the recruitment, training, and coaching of employees.Efficiently plan, assign, and oversee job duties to ensure a smoothly run operation.Engage in employee meetings, performance reviews, and professional development.Uphold stringent sanitation and cleaning standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.Create and maintain daily volume trend analysis reports.Strategically plan, market, and execute captivating special events and promotions within the cafe.Fulfill other duties as assigned to drive the cafe's success.
