Description: Job Summary:Under the direction of the Regional Nurse Executive, develop, implement, and manage multiple projects and programs related to clinical practice initiatives in the Mid-Atlantic region. Define, coordinate, and manage all aspects of projects and programs including resource requirements, work plans, communication and execution. Facilitates standardization of clinical services across the region. Is responsible for updating the RPCS website, acts as Regional Patient Care Services liaison regarding LCRC activities, and uploading web-based training materials via KP Learn. Supports the work of the Clinical Optimization and Innovation Consultant and the Quality and Sustainability Consultant.Essential Responsibilities:Leads and manages multiple projects and associated project teams. Professionally and effectively works with all levels within the organization and maintains cohesion, focus, and productivity among diverse project teams.Conceptualizes and develops effective project plans, methodologies and approaches. Continuously monitors progress and takes corrective action to ensure on-time completion of deliverables and successful achievement of project goals.Manages centralized regional clinical policies website.Coordinates and manages the review process for regional nursing and cross-discipline policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines (clinical standards) in partnership with Quality and Sustainability Consultant.Acts as the Regional Patient Care Services liasison regarding Licensing, Certification, Registration, & Competency (LCRC) activities.Develops effective communications strategies, including developing/drafting communications for regional dissemination. Keeps project owners and stakeholders informed of progress, challenges, and barriers.Develops implements and manages the annual web-based training (WBT) program for clinical staff.Provides consulting support and serves as a subject matter expert to the department and others on matters related to nursing, project organization and management, information technology, development of clinical standards and education material in partnership with the Manger of Professional development and Education.Other related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimun seven (7) years of nursing experience required. Minimum five (5) years of project and program design, management and evaluation in a healthcare environment required. Education Masters degree in nursing OR Bachelors degree in nursing AND a Masters degree in any other field is required. License, Certification, Registration Registered Nurse License (Maryland) AND Registered Nurse License (Virginia) OR Compact License: Registered Nurse Registered Nurse License (District of Columbia) Additional Requirements:Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills required.Demonstrated expert knowledge of MS Office products, Articulate, Visio, Adobe, DreamWeaver.Excellent writing skills required.Experience with large scale education and training programs in the healthcare environment.Proven track record of developing and implementing major projects on time required.Skill and experience in organizational change management are required.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required.Demonstrated leadership skills are required.Must be able to work effectively with a variety of departments and leadership levels.Must demonstrate exceptional customer service attitudes, including a can do approach.Must be able to independently problem-solve and develop creative solutions.Must be a champion for innovation and change. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in informatics experience, data base development, management and analysis, clinical policy development and contract management preferred.Experience in web-based training development preferred.Doctor of Philsophy Degree preferred.Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree preferred.
