**Description**

The Housekeeper serves as a consummate professional responsible impacting the overall appearance, reputation, and atmosphere of Mount Carmel Behavioral Health through performing essential functions of compliance. The Housekeeper will serve as a valued source of compassionate support to patients, staff and visitors. At Mount Carmel Behavioral Health the Housekeeper is a dynamic position at Mount Carmel Behavioral Health in delivering exceptional patient care and directly impacting/improving the lives of individuals and families in crisis.

Functions include, but not limited to:

* Performs specific cleaning and custodial tasks in compliance with Mount Carmel Behavioral Health procedures to prevent any risk of infection to patients, visitors and staff.

* Maintains adequate cleaning supplies for departmental/facility use, adequately stocks supplies for facility needs, and launders soiled linens in accordance with Mount Carmel Behavioral Health and Joint Commission procedures.

* Performs other housekeeping functions including moving/arranging furniture, assisting in cleaning of kitchen/general eating areas, sweeping/scrubbing/waxing and/or polishing floors.

* Routinely review and practice infection control measures to ensure 100% compliance through facility.
