BASIC FUNCTION:
Conduct research under the direction of a principal investigator and work with lab students to achieve the goals of a biomedical research project.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Candidate must be competent in rodent handling, intraperitoneal injections and research techniques: histology, immunohistochemistry, self administration/operant responding, and conditioned place preference.
Experience with open field testing and intracranial microinjections is encouraged
Candidate must have light microscopy experience, prepare solutions, problem-solve independently, exhibit strong organizational and computer skills, and be flexible to perform other duties, as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in neuroscience or related biological discipline and at least one year of research experience.
