Vice President of Business Development - Aerospace & OEMJob Category: Business Development and MarketingTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCIEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 25%Type of Travel: LocalCACI is currently searching for a VP of Business Development Executive within the National Security & Innovative Solutions Sector (NSIS) who brings a strategic perspective and a track record of success in growing and expanding new/existing business with extensive experience on partnering with large scale Aerospace and Defense (A&D) companies. The Vice President of Business Development is a trusted advisor to the NSIS Sector SVP, Business Development and NSIS Senior Leadership team and will provide knowledge, insight, and relationships key to strategy development and meeting growth goals. Responsibilities will be to leverage CACI developed technology for insertion into various platforms and Programs of Record held by large Aerospace and Defense companies.The ideal candidate will have broad market awareness with technology (spanning the Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Civilian spaces), a track record of selling advanced solutions, and possess Spectrum Dominance, Intelligence, optical communications, and C5ISR domainexpertise knowledge and creative energy/aptitude to leverage that core expertise to develop new opportunities. NSIS leverages advanced technology and innovation in C4ISR, EW, RF, free-space optical communications, spectrum management, and cyberspace operations to solve our customers' most challenging problems. More About the Role:Maintain detailed knowledge of CACI capabilities that are relevant that can be used to solve or meet customer needs.Develop business with large-scale A&D companies by bringing CACI-developed technologies into their system integration efforts.Drive to closure opportunities for integrating CACI technology into large scale programs.Provide a clear understanding of large-scale Aerospace industry footprint and how it affects CACI s position and approach on current and future opportunities within the Aerospace market.Maintain key senior relationships that help brand CACI and maintain situational awareness of market changes.Provide critical linkages between the long-term strategic plan and near-term new business actions partnering with the NSIS Business Develop team, and Sector Leadership teamsCollaborate with functional counterparts across CACI to ensure winning solutions are brought forward to customers and positions the Sector for strategic, enterprise-wide campaigns.Advise on plans for key customers and provide additional leadership and expertise in other new business matters including the following: strategic planning, competitive intelligence and market analysis, and M&A strategy.Manages overall relationships with existing and potential customers and has frequent and direct contact with senior level managers and executives to provide strategy expertise and project direction.Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Recommends, interprets, and communicates corporate goals and strategies.Develop and maintain a long-range opportunity pipeline that will shape and inform current year execution plans.Maintain active participation in professional organizations as applicable. Serve as conference panel member, keynote speaker and other activities that help promote CACI s brand.Collaborate closely with BD and Capture leaders to ensure messages communicated, information acquired, and overall contact plans result in consistent key customer interactions and results. Provide opportunity advice and counsel to the Business Development and Line as they formulate their next and future year opportunity roadmap.Function at a more tactical level, when necessary, to support key captures and business development activity. Maintain relationships that also facilitate these tactical engagements.Participate in key business development activities such as Black Hats , Competitive Assessments , Mid-Course Reviews and solution development. For Priority Opportunities, such as CEO priorities or key A orders, be the voice of the customer throughout the lifecycle of the opportunity. This would include attending all milestone reviews, proposal color reviews and responding to post RFP customer questions (ENs, Discussions, etc).You ll Bring These QualificationsA minimum of 10 years of business development and strategy support of the federal government, commercial, and/or international clients. Experience in organizations known for building high performing business development functions, as well as quality strategic planning processes.Broad market awareness coupled with a demonstrated history of winning large-scale, competitive acquisitions across the company s core market strengths Defense, Intelligence, National & Homeland Security, and federal civilian government.The successful candidate will possess deep visibility in both industry and customer spaces. This person will also possess a track record of success leading large capture and growth initiatives and winning large and complex services & solutions opportunities in the Federal Government sector. Deep domain experience in one or more of the following areas: National Intelligence Systems, Government Organization Advanced Technology Priorities, Engineering Services, Spectral Intelligenceand C5ISR domain expertise.Strategic insight and execution across the entire capture process are required.
