Software Quality Assurance Engineer II

Overview

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will be part of an agile development team assuring the delivery of high quality software and services. You will work with your teammates to prevent and detect problems throughout product development, evaluate the appropriateness of software solutions for users, and enable development team productivity. You will learn and apply a variety of industry-standard software testing and quality assurance methods to provide immediate feedback to your team, validate products for release, and ensure continuous improvement of processes and practices.

Responsibilities include:

Participating on a project scrum team and managing personal work backlog using agile practices.Reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, software designs, code, tests, and test results.Writing automated and manual test cases and procedures to ensure adequate functional and structural test coverage, efficient test execution, and maintainability.Executing automated and manual tests, recording and reporting results, and submitting defects and verifying fixes.Using industry standard tools and practices to define, automate, and execute system, integration, component, and API tests for your team.Collaborating with teammates to assess the impact of requirement, design, and code changes, and recommending and carrying out needed test updates and regression testing.Monitoring and acting upon metrics to improve schedule predictability, product quality, and process efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Able to learn, apply, and follow company best practices.Able to work independently, raise issues, and take necessary corrective actions.Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language, such as python or ruby.Bachelor s degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.2 or more years of experience in SQA and software testing.

The annual base salary listed below for this role is based on experience, skills, education, relevant training and geographic location. Company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, and benefits are available depending on the role.

Pay Range

$75,357 $88,005 USD
