The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop a data platform that will have an impact on the rapid exploitation and sharing of multi-INT information across the intelligence community? Solid platform development is a critical part of any program s success, and you know how to do it right through scalable design with baked-in security. That s why we need you, a developer with the skills to build a platform that will transform the integrated intelligence mission.

As a cloud data platform developer on our team, you ll design and develop the core data integration platform for our project from end to end. You ll work with customers and end-users to understand their mission, architecture, and security requirements. With a focus on the customer s goals, you ll build a design that will scale to meet their evolving needs. Your technical expertise will be vital as you recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the environment and new technology. Your design will set the standard for future development, so you ll craft an architecture that smoothly works with existing infrastructure without compromising security.

As a technical leader, you ll identify new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. This is a chance to use your deep OS knowledge and broaden your skill set into areas like Cloud computing, large-scale data ingestion and processing, multiple data store types, including graph data, time series, spatial, and other NoSQL, high-performance data streaming, data science, and supporting the integration of novel mission applications and analytics. You Have:

7+ years of experience with application development
7+ years of experience with designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at an enterprise scale
5+ years of experience with creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
5+ years of experience with using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
5+ years of experience with developing scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
Experience with developing scripts and programs for converting several types of data into usable formats and supporting project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
Ability to supervise others and lead projects and deliverables within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor s degree
Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

10+ years of experience with using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
5+ years of experience with AWS
5+ years of experience with Distributed data and computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Nifi, Kafka, Scala, or Java
5+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
5+ years of experience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting
5+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or Kubernetes Administrator Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
