The on-site Employee Mental Health Support Specialist will provide evidence-based mental health support to employees at Children's National Hospital. This role may also involve some travel to additional Children's National locations on a limited basis.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
Master's Degree In counseling, social work, psychology, or related degree (Required) Or
Minimum Work Experience
3 years post graduate experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Skilled in providing evidence-based treatments for individuals and groups (e.g., CBT, DBT, EFT, Mindfulness-based therapy, etc.)
Experienced in tracking mental health improvement and outcomes
Demonstrated ability to create new programs and interventions based on population mental health needs, preferably for hospital staff
Demonstrated understanding of social determinants of health (SDOH) and knowledge of community resources
Independent, open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate, flexible
Excellent interpersonal skills (communication and listening)
Passionate about improving the mental wellbeing of healthcare workers and reducing the stigma of accessing mental health resources
Required Licenses and Certifications
Independent Social Worker Must be licensed in the District of Columbia at minimum at the LICSW-level. (Required) Or
Psychologist Licensed in Washington, DC. (Required) Or
Licensed Professional Counselor (Required)
