Gridiron IT is seeking a .NET Core Developer to support a program in the Washington, DC area.
The Mid .NET Core Developer will support the design and development of a new reporting application to manage the performance and funding of the Hollings Manufacturing Partnership that offers professional grade consulting services to small US based manufacturers. The candidate will be a member of a 6-8-member team building cloud applications. The team will develop the application in Blazor a clean slate, using the an older legacy application as a guide. Experience working in a team to deliver a high-quality application with a good user interface will be important to delivering success.
Responsibilities:

• Creating strong UI design and front end application building of cloud applications
• Building a public website owned by the United States government to assist small US based manufacturers
• Translating functional requirements into technical ones and prototyping out solutions
• Performing code reviews on junior developers code and mentoring junior developers
• Working with a small team of developers to build a new web application from the ground up
• Attending weekly engineering sessions at Easy Dynamics offices in McLean Virginia and occasional meetings at our client's campus in Gaithersburg.
• Engaging stakeholders and providing appropriate guidance through the design thinking process
• Designing and architecting services, components and databases of?.NET Core application using Entity Framework Core
• Develop back end components (models, controllers and repositories)?for .NET Core applications
• Develop unit and feature tests for .NET Core Components that leverage Entity Framework and SQL Server
• Leading and participating in code reviews to provide feedback for proposed solutions
• Participating in data taxonomy design and engineering methods of cleaning up outdated databases.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing components using .NET Core
• Writing automated unit and feature tests for .NET Core applications using the modern frameworks including conducting root-cause Analysis for outages and production issues
• Experience with developing using Visual Studio or VS Code IDEs
• Ability to work with Git source control and understand SDLC best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience developing .NET applications, ASP.NET applications, .NET Core applications
• Experience creating technical designs based on functional requirements
• Developing .NET?applications with Blazor pages and SQL Server backends
• Experience with developing and deploying applications using C++
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalent
• Experience with deploying .NET?applications to Azure
• Strong understand of REST API and LINQ semantics
• Microsoft Azure Certifications
