Position Summary

This developer position will involve full stack Java development in Linux or Windows environment to include the use of Java 8+ Streams and lambdas. A strong candidate will need to have an understanding and knowledge of the customer and their mission. A variety of skill will be utilized in this position up to and including MongoDB, SpringBoot, Angular 2+. The candidate must also be able to recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of development alternatives.

Essential Functions Statements
  • Designing and conducting unit tests to enhance code coverage requirements.
  • Creating JavaScript force directed graph visualizations using GoJS or other similar graph visualization tools such as D3.js or Cytoscape.js
  • Support user development documentation.
Competency Statements

You must have knowledge of common protocols such as TCP/IP, SDH/SONET, Ethernet. Experience in graph theory, including shortest path, best first search, and network flow algorithms. Must have experience in Typescript.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Experience:

A minimum of six (6) years of software/system development work experience, with technical expertise in two (2) or more of the following areas: system requirements analysis, software system design, software system development, software system integration, or software system testing.

In addition to the requirements above, the individual shall have at least five (5) years of work experience in four or more of the following areas: developing software applications in C# or Java, developing DLLs for Windows, development on computer telephony platforms using computer telephony cards such as dialogic, object-oriented design and programming, working knowledge of common protocols/standards such as TCP/IP, SNMP, MGCP, etc., web development with proven knowledge of XML, php, mySQL, ColdFusion, or Apache, script writing using Perl, Python, Bourne Shell, Cshell, or other proprietary scripting languages. Database experience with Sybase, Oracle, or Microsoft. Kernal knowledge of Unix (Linux). Bit level data analysis

Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
