Position Overview

Arlo is in search of a SharePoint Developer to support the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) Front Office (FO) and Business Operations Branch (BOB) with SharePoint Development Services. These services will provide technology enhancements required to improve business operations while delivering a user interface that will increase service capability while minimizing service disruptions.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

FHFA uses SharePoint to host its internal networks. The selected candidate will work closely with FHFA personnel to build requirements, develop the portal, conduct testing and demonstration, and adjust using feedback before delivering a complete portal. The portal will be used by over 200 customers (Agency staff personnel) and managed by multiple administrators. The administrators should be able to access, manipulate, and create dashboards and reports. The portal will be used as the centralized OCOO BOB ticketing system. End users should be able to initiate, track, review, provide solutions, and provide reporting to support ticket requests. End users should be able to access and view reports. Upon implementation, the portal will enable functional or end-user input and not require technical developers to input/configure the portal for use.
  • Develop an OCOO Concierge SharePoint portal for user interface for the receipt, management, and tracking of HR and financial management-related information with the ability to run reports based on specific parameters.
  • Develop an OCOO Concierge Portal ticketing system that will enable the user to initiate requests via the ticketing system. Develop the capability to receive, assign, track the progress, provide resolution, and enable messaging and reporting capabilities to support the ticket request.
  • Develop an OCOO Concierge Portal system and administrator user guidance and end-user guidance.
  • Advise subject matter experts on digital communications strategy, social media strategy, and cutting-edge SharePoint design and communications philosophies.
  • Provide documentation and training services.
  • Ensure records created are labeled and maintained by FHFA's Records and Information Policy as applicable.
  • Work with IT specialists and other accessibility experts to ensure 508 compliances of the SharePoint site and other digital communications efforts.
  • Address user complaints, collaborate with team members, stay updated on SharePoint standards and technologies, and deliver functional and user-friendly sites.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related major.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java Script, and knowledge of SharePoint architecture and administration.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in SharePoint Development.
  • Knowledge of and experience with systems and/or procedures is desired. Examples of systems include records management, SharePoint or similar, information systems, human resource information systems, correspondence systems, travel systems and payroll systems.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in various types of Information Technology resources such as Microsoft Office Suite products.
