You

are a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in designing, procuring, configuring, and operating physical and virtualized system infrastructure. You thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and possess a deep understanding of network administration, security administration, and systems administration. Your technical expertise, combined with your excellent problem-solving and communication skills, allows you to develop innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of our federal clients.

We're looking for

a skilled Systems Engineer with at least 3 years of related experience to join our team providing Insider Threat support to our federal client in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining classified network enclaves, including Continuity of Operations (COOP) offsite capabilities and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP). You will be responsible for deploying and keeping COTS, GOTS, and User Activity Monitoring (UAM) software within the network enclave, ensuring continued integration with security information systems and maintaining accredited status.

The Skills

  • 3+ years of related experience in systems engineering
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, security administration, and systems administration
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining classified network enclaves, including COOP and DRP
  • Proficiency in deploying and maintaining COTS, GOTS, and UAM software
  • Familiarity with security information systems and maintaining accredited status on sensitive and classified domains
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance; must be a US Citizen
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP)
The Expectations

30 Days

  • Familiarize yourself with the client's existing network infrastructure, security systems, and insider threat detection capabilities
  • Assess the current state of the classified network enclave and identify areas for improvement
  • Begin designing and implementing enhancements to the network enclave, including COOP and DRP capabilities

60 Days

  • Deploy and configure COTS, GOTS, and UAM software within the network enclave
  • Ensure seamless integration with security information systems and maintain accredited status
  • Collaborate with the insider threat team to optimize system performance and enhance detection capabilities

90 Days

  • Continuously monitor and maintain the classified network enclave to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities or areas for improvement
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the insider threat team and other stakeholders as needed

This position is 100% on-site in Landover, MD, and requires the candidate to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. Dual citizenship is not permitted.
