Job Description:Competitive Range works in partnership with the government to plan and deploy complex, IT-enabled and mission essential capabilities. It is our goal at Competitive Range to help you develop and expand your professional capabilities while working on challenging, interesting projects in a collaborative, congenial environment.Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Project Manager Lead to assist in the direction and management of program's executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.The Project Manager Lead functions and responsibilities include elements such as: responsible for the overall direction, management, finance, communication, coordination of deliverables, and accountability of project oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the IT organization; create scope documents based on approved charters and project plans (work breakdown structures); track key milestones and adjust project plans, budget requests and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.Roles and Responsibilities:Reports directly to the Program Manager, having second-tier responsibility for overseeing technical project management provided to client with regard to respective programMust be able to work across the full spectrum of the acquisition lifecycle from opportunity capture to services deliveryProviding Project Management support, to include developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, creating and submitting program related documentation, preparing briefings, providing full conference/meeting support, and preparing senior level strategic briefings and metrics as required by the GovernmentSupporting all aspects of the development and implementation of IT services projectsEnsuring the completion and integration of multiple complex projects simultaneouslyDeveloping service descriptions and project requirements documentation, CONOPs and other documents to support preparation for review boards as required to ensure service delivery and operational supportProviding analysis and recommendations in support of the resolution of IT-related problems; executing the recommendations as directed by the client.Coordinating the development and review of documents related to technical project efforts.Providing Senior-level strategic communications support, to include policy, process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review and developmentAiding in the coordination of activities and documents to ensure alignment with plans and directives for delivery of IT solutions across the DOD EnterprisePrimary customer point of contact as the lead for the project with respect to providing IT services and working within a complex network environmentOverall daily responsibility for the delivery of all work products and services on this program, to include technical artifacts, reports, presentations and briefings to the clientManages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning and project teamResponsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actionsOversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reportsMonitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectivesEnsures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, project team and clientsEnsures production schedules are met or exceededEnsures engineering & technical resources are used effectively and appropriately.Coordinate's resolution of deliverable-related problemsEnsures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services and deliverablesPrioritize efforts to ensure successful client outcomeUses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruptionProvides proactive and responsive customer focused leadership, reaching back to corporate resources to mitigate risks and resolve any issues that may ariseQualifications/Experience:At least 3 years relevant Project Management experience across the entire project life cycleExperience working with DoD is desired but not requiredRelated industry experience in information technology or engineeringWorking knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Excel and ProjectExcellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skillsMust be a US CitizenMinimum SECRET clearance requiredEducation/Certifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher is requiredDegree in business, engineering, computer science, or information technology management or technical discipline is desiredPMP is required
