OUR WORKPLACE

We are a long-term care skilled nursing facility operating 24/7. Our facility is committed to providing the highest quality of care and services assuring human dignity and quality of life for our residents, their families, and our employees.

GNA Duties:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents, alone or with assistance
  • Observe residents' conditions, measuring/recording food/liquid intake and output as well as vital signs, then report changes to professional staff as applicable
  • Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum
  • Must be able to explain medical instructions to residents and family members
  • Work as part of a medical team that examines and provides service to residents
  • Administer medications and treatments, such as catheterizations, suppositories, irrigations, enemas, massages, and douches, as directed by a physician or nurse
  • Answer residents' call lights
  • Provide residents with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
  • Must be able to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toiletry
  • Transport residents to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents
  • Restrain residents if necessary
  • Prepare, serve, and collect food trays
  • Clean rooms and change linens as instructed
  • Deliver messages, documents and specimens
  • Answer phones and direct visitors as needed
  • Maintain inventory by storing, preparing, sterilizing, and issuing supplies such as dressing packs and treatment trays
  • Perform clerical duties such as processing documents and detailing residents' condition
Requirements:
  • GNA certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Hospital is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply!
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • CPR and First-Aid certified
