Join our team as a Network Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects, optimize network performance, and contribute to infrastructure upgrades while traveling to various locations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the administration, operation, and maintenance of our enterprise network to ensure it operates seamlessly.
  • Drive infrastructure upgrades to improve both wired and wireless networks, keeping us on the cutting edge of technology.
  • Configure switches before they are shipped to sites and then travel to those sites to perform essential switch upgrades.
  • Deliver detailed project status reports to project coordinators and managers, ensuring everyone stays informed.
  • Optimize system operations and the efficient use of resources.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning to meet future demands.
  • Lead network engineering research and design development projects, aligning with network design, engineering, and customer specifications.
  • Travel within the United States (up to 75%) to provide on-site support to various locations.
Skills Required:
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing both wired and wireless Cisco networks in large Enterprise campus environments.
  • Showcase your expertise in configuring and troubleshooting current CISCO switches, including Catalyst and Nexus IOS.
  • Command a strong grasp of Layer 3 technologies, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, HSRP, WCCP), and multicast.
  • Valuable experience with flow analysis is preferred.
  • MPLS knowledge is a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills across different layers of the OSI model, from layer 1 to 7.
  • Operate with adherence to Best Practices and maintain a robust work ethic.
  • Proven ability to track and resolve incidents efficiently via a ticket queue.
  • Communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Operate within defined maintenance windows and adhere to change control procedures.
  • Possess a self-motivated and responsible attitude towards project ownership.
  • Showcase the ability to multitask effectively, handling multiple networks and customer requirements simultaneously.
  • Hold US Citizenship or provide documented proof of eligibility to work in the US.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for obtaining Government clearance upon conditional offer of employment.
  • Successfully pass verification checks for past employment, education, and references.
Skills Preferred:
  • Previous experience working across multiple sites and managing diverse network environments.
  • Familiarity with large organizations, particularly those with over 35,000 customers.
  • Collaboration skills, including teamwork with peer and client teams.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification adds value to your qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Helpdesk systems, especially experience with BMC Remedy, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using MS Project and Visio for effective project planning and documentation.
Education:
  • High school diploma/GED combined with 11 years of IT experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, along with 5 years of IT experience.
