This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.SAIC is seeking an experienced System Engineer to manage our System Integration Lab (SIL) in support of our United States Air Force customer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the system under test meets all project requirements are thoroughly understood, documented, and effectively communicated throughout the project lifecycle.The candidate is required to perform the following tasks:Review program requirements to determine necessary SIL modificationObtain resources to ensure the SIL operates with little down timeSchedule and allocate resources to support program integration and test requirementsManage configuration of the systems under test with the support of the Configuration ManagerReceive, inventory and track all assets in the SILCollaborate with shipping & receiving to deliver systems to customerManaging access to the SILEnsuring equipment calibrations and any other maintenance activities are completed on scheduleServe as access control of personnel into the SILStarts up all SIL equipment and loads all SIL software in an orderly fashion; shuts down in the same manner to reconfigure the SIL or close down for the dayMonitors SIL schedules and ongoing test/integration activities and provides technical support, troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective equipmentAssists in planning periodic SIL upgrades to new wiring and equipment configurationsMaintains inventory of hardware as well as security documentation on various systems/hardware/softwareQualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor s degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master s degree and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in managing weapon system under testExperience in establishing a new labExperience in establishing network connectionsAbility to lead an integration and test teamDemonstrated ability to adapt and optimize workflow for a lab environmentWorks with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned workProvides regular status updates for ongoing work effortsSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
