Job Summary

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and monitoring of the infrastructure for the COTs tool (Cameo Enterprise Architecture) and related systems capabilities. The selected applicant will provide support to day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution. They will configure and manage systems operating systems (Windows & Linux (RedHat)), COTs tool user accounts, and software installations for both physical and virtual system instantiations. They will provide systems engineering support to software development efforts by configuring test environments, aiding in troubleshooting issues observed through monitoring system data flow, and reviewing relevant system logs (currently utilizing Elasticsearch/Kibana). They will document the proposed changes relevant to system security for inclusion in the System Security Plan and for evaluation under the Risk Management Framework approval process.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope.
  • Configures and manages systems operating systems, user accounts, and software installations for both physical and virtual system instantiations. Monitors system for compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Announcements (IAVA) and configures systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 1 or higher required. Certification required is a Security+ as a minimum. Linux experience or Windows administration experience a plus
  • Support Health and Status and STE compliancy of servers under SSP (IAVMs, etc.)
  • Position requires active TS//SCI with polygraph.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Aid users in accessing and using IT systems. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
