Job description

BASIC FUNCTION:

To support the goals and objectives of the Office of the Registrar and distribution functions as well as performing backup and technical services to ensure efficient and effective operations.

SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:

Involves no responsibility or authority for the direction of others.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Internal contacts include administrative staff from various departments throughout the University as well as currently enrolled students. External contacts may include prospective students, alumni, and various lending agencies, Department of Education, Federal Agents, insurance companies, and Professional Board Certifying Agencies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensures confidentiality and integrity of all student records.
  • Processes enrollment status certification requests.
  • Processes academic transcript requests.
  • Processes course scheduling requests and updates.
  • Retrieves specific student related information as requested.
  • Maintains log of requests and action taken.
  • Responds to inquiries via telephone, email or in-person.
  • Participates in university-wide registration processes.
  • Coordinates the file maintenance of academic records source documents.
  • Enters, updates and retrieves information stored in files and databases.
  • Serves as support and/or back-up support to the various units in the office.
  • Coordinates office projects as requested.
  • Assists in the coordination of work assignments for Student Employees.
  • Provides window/reception desk service to students and other clients.
  • May serves as liaison with schools/colleges to resolve issues relating to the academic record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Position will be required to report on-campus five days a week.
  • Working hours are from 8:30am - 5:00pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate's Degree
  • Two to three years relevant work experience in a customer service focused environment
