Indotronix is seeking a Claims Adjuster Remote ( New Albany, OH: Tulsa, OK ; Dallas, TX, Ashland, KY,Fort Wayne , IN)
Position: Claims Adjuster
Location: Remote( New Albany, OH: Tulsa, OK ; Dallas, TX, Kentucky,Fort Wayne , IN)
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
Responsible for processing claims made by third parties against CLIENT with a mode*** degree of supervision.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
1)Adjust liability claims by investigating the matter with the claimant, researching CLIENT databases, and consulting with CLIENT's line department and other departments as needed.
Obtain available documentation such as police and fire reports, and documentation of damages to claimant/customer property.
2) Recognize and resolve questions of coverage under the insurance policy with assistance of supervisor
3) Determine liability of Company based on facts found in the investigation, the tariffs and Tort Law
4) Determine proper expense and indemnity reserves.
5) Evaluate damages for reasonableness, amounts owed or payable, and proper format (e.g., signed and dated claim worksheet). Negotiate settlements based on liability and damages.
6) Accu***ly and timely document the investigation, liability, and damages in the CLIENT claim file. Complete reports and comply with internal policies and procedures.
7) Respond to Commission Complaints and complaints forwarded or referred to senior management.
Basic Qualifications:
Education requirements are listed below:
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of education and experience in the Risk Management field (including experience specified below)
Work Experience requirement listed below:
Minimum 2 years' experience in adjusting automobile and/or general liability claims.
Other Requirements:
Physical demand level is Sedentary.
1. Familiarity with electric utility industry operations with a preference with distribution and transmission systems
2. Computer skills - Competent in Word and Excel
3. Interpersonal and communication skills
