Position Summary:

This role as a Field Helper, you will work alongside our installation and field service teams to assist in the setup, installation, and maintenance of security and surveillance systems. This role is an essential part of ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, making a direct impact on our clients' safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the installation team in the setup and installation of security and surveillance systems, including cameras, access control, and intrusion detection equipment.
  • Participate in site surveys and assessments to gather information necessary for installation and configuration.
  • Handle and organize equipment and tools to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in cable pulling, termination, and testing, ensuring all work complies with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide support to field service technicians during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment used, and any issues encountered.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members as needed.
  • Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years basic understanding of security and surveillance systems is a plus and or general electrical experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment.

  • Active Driver s License

  • Security Clearances: This position may require a security clearance. The clearance requirements are determined by the agency(s) in which you are assigned. Convergint Federal will sponsor the level of clearance required. However, it will be your responsibility to obtain and maintain your required level of clearance.
