Operations Manager

Job description

Position Description:

*The Operations Manager MUST have at least 2 years of experience in the behavioral health/human services field!*

Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and

management of various operational activities including but not limited to

community outreach efforts, food management and distribution, transitional

housing funding and other regulatory compliance requirements, grant proposals

and management, and community and public relations for the organization in

accordance with the mission and policies of the organization and approved by

the Senior Vice President of Operations.

Objectives

  • Collaborate with Senior Vice President of Operations and CEO in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Work with Senior Vice President of Operations to set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain community relationships.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
  • Reviews, develops, and implements processes and strategies to ensure smooth and efficient workflows across the organization.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide supervision for Outreach and Housing Coordinators.
  • Oversight of safety and compliance responsibilities for the facility.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee all systems of the Community Outreach Program, to include but not limited to:
  • Supervises the Community Outreach Workers.
  • Schedules meetings with potential donors.
  • Coordinates and oversees clothing donations, inventory, and distribution.
  • Oversees and coordinates the food donations, inventory, and distribution efforts.
  • Coordinates and oversees the food menu and preparation for PHP lunches within the facility.
  • Works with Housing
  • Coordinators and Senior Vice president of Operations to plan, monitor and analyze transitional housing program.
  • Provides direction and supervision of Maryland Certification of Recovery Residences (MCORR) and MDRN and other regulatory compliance such as inspections and licenses.
  • Oversite of MDRN funding.
  • Explore and assist in writing grant proposals and grant management.
  • Assists in the coordination of community and public relations events n activities.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BA or advanced degree in Human Service or related field.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must have demonstrated optimal supervisory, leadership and team building skills.
  • Must have the ability to build collaborations and partnerships with other organizations and key stakeholders.
