Job Role: Cashier/Salesfloor Associate

Overview:

The Cashier/Salesfloor Associate is responsible for managing transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Another main responsibility, when not assisting customers, includes stocking the shelves with products. We focus on offering our customers engaging shopping experiences through genuine customer support. Other job duties include greeting and assisting customers on the salesfloor, stocking items, looking up bin locations, and carrying out other store administrative tasks. Ultimately, you'll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Customer satisfaction-oriented in order to maintain a customer-focused environment

- Accountable for processing accurate sales transactions

- Learn various products to be able to assist and advise customers

- Assist in stocking and rotating products

- Perform general cleaning tasks around the checkout area and assigned aisles

- Work effectively independently and within a team to perform all tasks assigned

- Ensure safe working and shopping environment

-Occasional mandatory overtime

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to regularly climb a 6-12-foot ladder and reach overhead

- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

- Be aware that temperature and humidity levels within the warehouse will change with the season

- Some outdoor work requirements ex: Helping customers load their vehicles

Qualifications/Skills:

- Flexible with an ability to handle multiple tasks where priorities shift with the demands of the business

- Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills

- Maintains a positive attitude; works with a sense of urgency; demonstrates timely and thorough execution

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends

- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like computer order processing system and iPads

- Attention to detail is important to ensure accurate sales transactions. Additionally, this skill is important when packing customer orders to prevent damage.

Experience:

One to three years of cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
