Job SummaryAs a NOC Technician you will manage, respond and remediate issues on a day-to-day basis by working with a team to ensure consistent delivery of services including connectivity, functionality, updates, and automation. You will work closely with the Operations team and provide valuable feedback to support the design, functionality, and workflows to maintain environment uptime and provide quick identification of issues.

Summary of Location and Hours

  • This is a 100% remote position
  • Wednesday-Saturday, 11am-10pm EST (4 days/10 hour shifts)
  • Equipment is provided, Must have home internet connectivity of at least 20 mbps upload and 20mbps download.
Responsibilities
  • Fully participate and collaborate as a member of the NOC team
  • Respond and remediate alerts as they are generated during your specified shift
  • Maintain KPI's related to response and availability
  • Provide clear and concise notes on tickets worked
  • Identify and escalate any issues with the alerting systems
  • Ensure all automated alerts and related cases are addressed according to SLA
  • Ability to troubleshoot and report on environment issues related to ISP, networks, servers, and hypervisors
Required Education / Certification / Skills
  • 2-3 years of experience in the field of Information Technology
  • Great communication skills both spoken and written
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with various departments in-order to obtain information needed
  • Good customer facing mannerisms and communication
  • Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a tactful and professional demeanor
  • Ability to operate independently while maintaining key performance numbers
  • Understanding of network security policies including, but not limited to, firewall rules, routing rules and port forwarding
  • Understanding of ConnectWise automate functionality including, but not limited to, scripting results executions and exports
  • Understanding of the SNMP protocol including, but not limited to, SNMP traps and flags to troubleshoot errors
  • NOTE: This is a full-time remote position requiring shift based 24-hour coverage. The shift is documented in this posting and the working hours to be agreed upon with your manager prior to accepting the role.

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $44,000.00 and $70,000.00 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
