Digital Consultants is seeking an AV (Audio/Visual) Project Manager to join our team! As the AV Project Manager, you will lead the AV Team and assist in the design, purchasing, and installation of AV equipment. You will supervise AV Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects and provide leadership and guidance to project teams. In support of various customers, your team will troubleshoot and maintain various AV systems. You will draft documentation such as bills of materials, design documents, operator manuals, maintenance manuals, test plans, and cabling plans. You will support customer training on installed systems. You will provide quarterly maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving of hardware and software.

Duties to include:

  • Supervises the AV team, responsible for their day-to-day activities, the quality of the team's work and for customer interface.
  • Directs and is personally involved in the design, integration, build and delivery of AV systems.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Lead the analysis and solutions for customer AV system problems.
  • Responsible for facility upgrades/enhancements resulting from modernization efforts at the customer site.
  • Performs a variety of AV system analyses and prepares appropriate documentation in support of repair, improvement or modernization.
  • Manages AV projects for a variety of customers, and works in coordination with headquarters team members to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepares and makes briefings and presentations.
  • Design AV systems: You will work with clients to understand their AV needs and design solutions to meet those needs. This may involve selecting and specifying AV equipment, designing AV systems and workflows, and creating schematics and diagrams.
  • Upgrading and enhancing AV systems: You will be responsible for recommending and implementing upgrades and enhancements to AV systems, including new equipment, software, and workflows. This will involve staying current with the latest technologies and industry trends and recommending clients to improve their AV systems. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals through technological solutions.
  • Installing AV equipment: You will work with installation teams to ensure AV systems are installed properly and meet industry standards. This may involve overseeing installation projects, basic programming, testing, calibrating equipment, and training end-users.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining AV systems: You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with AV systems, including hardware and software issues. This may involve troubleshooting audio and video signals, reviewing and debugging program code, updating firmware and software, and replacing faulty equipment.
  • Assists in the development and management of project plans.
  • Reviews task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress by schedules.
  • Coordinates with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Requirements
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • AVIXA certification (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience implementing AV/VTC systems for large multi-site organizations
  • Experience with Crestron controllers and Cisco Codecs
  • Experience managing project teams fielding classified AV Systems
  • Experience in/with Federal project/program management office interfacing with project stakeholders to execute AV solutions
  • Understanding of OSI Layer 1-3 concepts and architectures (Physical, Data Link, Network)
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods, lift to 50 pounds, and work within confined spaces such as raised floors or crawlspaces.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and good driving record
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
